We are dealing with an ecommerce with thousands of products, which are organized with multiple categories and multiple tags. Ideally we need to exclude some products categories and tags from the list.
We were thinking on a product selector like this illustrated in another question. So the user can filter by category and tag, then select the appropriate color, size and quantity to be added to the cart.
We have already experimented with mega menus and wholesales plugins unsuccessfully. We also want to avoid creating a page for each subcategory category or tag.
The website has already an extended menu with categories and tags, still isn't sufficient for the user to easily select multiple products and add it to the cart if not browsing extensively across the site.
